Legal Hotline
Talk isn’t cheap. After all, if you had to hire an attorney every time you had a legal question, it would cost you big bucks. But for the price of a phone call, you can speak to one of FAR’s attorneys on the Legal Hotline. Just call between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
 
You may speak with an attorney on various real estate topics including licensing, contracts and landlord/tenant matters.

Although the Legal Hotline service is not a substitute for personal legal counsel, it does offer prompt answers to specific questions to help avoid potential problems. Please have your real estate license number handy when you call — 407.438.1409.

Standard real estate business forms
Ever try to do business without bulletproof, field-tested business forms? We use our years of expertise and experience to develop time-tested, researched and documented business forms for your business.

Log on to floridarealtors.org to get free access, 24 hours a day, to almost 60 FAR and FAR-BAR real estate standard forms. You can fill in, change and send forms online, or you can store completed forms in an online office that only you and your client can access.

Legal Action Fund
When they throw a punch, we fight back. FAR’s Legal Action Fund provides financial consideration to members, local Boards and Associations or others involved in litigation of significance to Realtors, private property rights or the real estate industry as a whole.

For example, the Cape Coral Association of Realtors received $7,000 from the Legal Action Fund to help members with their private property rights battle regarding U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s recently proposed manatee regulations, since withdrawn. The regulations would have banned the permitting and building of boat docks in Southwest Florida, resulting in an economic toll estimated at millions of dollars.
